Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Annapurna Pictures released a new Detroit trailer.

The new intense trailer gives us a glimpse at the civil unrest that rocked Detroit in the summer of ’67.

The film stars an ensemble cast comprised of John Boyega, Hannah Murray, Jack Reynor, Will Poulter, Ben O’Toole, Anthony Mackie,  Algee Smith, Jacob Latimore, Jason Mitchell, Hannah Murray, Kaitlyn Dever, Joseph David Jones, Ephraim Sykes, Leon Thomas III, Nathan Davis Jr., Peyton Alex Smith, Malcolm David Kelley, Gbenga Akinnabve, Chris Chalk, Jeremy Strong, Laz Alonzo, Austin Hebert, Miguel Pimentel, Kris Davis, and John Krasinski.

Storyline:
“A police raid in Detroit in 1967 results in one of the largest and most intense riots in United States history, leading to the federalization of the Michigan National Guard and the involvement of two Airborne Divisons of the United States Army.”

Based on the 1967 Detroit riot, directed by Kathryn Bigelow and written by Mark Boal.

Detroit will be released on August 4, 2017.
