American actor, Chris Evans‘ role in Marvel Studios’ as Steve Rogers / Captain America might be coming to an end since his contact ends after Avengers 4.
Marvel originally wanted Evans for a nine-picture deal, but he turned it down, he was later offered a six-picture deal, which he relented and agreed to sign them and starred in Captain America: The First Avenger in 2011.
Now he is the major part of Marvel Cinematic Universe’s franchise although that reign may be ending soon.
In Esquire cover story Evans talks about his future in Marvel, he reveals his plans after he is done with Avengers 4.
“Settling in on the couch, he groans. Evans explains that he’s hurting all over because he just started his workout routine the day before to get in shape for the next two Captain America films.
The movies will be shot back to back beginning in April. After that, no more red- white-and-blue costume for the thirty-five-year-old. He will have fulfilled his contract.”
Chris Evans explains that Marvel movies take up his time with lengthy shoots, reshoots, promotional tours, etc., He has very little time to explore other opportunities, like directing and starring in different kind of movies.
We are not sure if Marvel will be able to sign him up for more, but it looks like Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 or Part 2 might be the end of Captain America.
Bucky might return to take over or maybe Falcon will do the honors, we will find out soon, what do you think? let us know in the comments below!
Avengers: Infinity War is scheduled to be released on May 4, 2018, in IMAX. An untitled sequel is scheduled to be released on May 3, 2019.
