According to Michael Pachter, analyst at Wedbush Morgan Grand Theft Auto V will eventually release on PlayStation 4 and the next-generation Xbox.
Speaking to Gamertag Radio, Pachter says: ‘GTA V will eventually release on next gen consoles, but not at launch.’
“If you go back to the PlayStation 3 E3, the 06 E3, they showed Red Dead Redemption, remember? What year did that bad boy come out? 2010? It only took four years, and it was shown, it was shown during a launch event. So that’s about the pace I think Rockstar is on. I think Rockstar will have a game before the PS5.”
Doug Creutz, analyst at Cowen & Company also predicted a next gen release for GTA V.
Rockstar has only confirmed GTA V for PS3 and Xbox 360. In addition to a next-generation release, a PC version is speculated to be in development as well.
Grand Theft Auto V will release on September 17, 2013 for PS3 and Xbox 360.
