Iron Man 1, Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America: First Avenger, Avengers, Iron Man 3, Thor 2, Captain America: Winter Soldier, there, that’s the 9 (in order).
In before anyone says, “but there’s more than 9 Marvel movies”.
Gotta know your studios where all the films were done. And know who owns the rights to which franchises & their affiliated characters:
Fox (X-Men & F4; Daredevil/Elektra reverted back to Marvel Studios due to inactivity),
Sony (Spider-Man; Ghost Rider, Punisher, & Blade reverted back due to inactivity),
Marvel (all the rest);
due to some characters being associated with different teams (i.e. Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver considered Avengers OR X-Men Universe), either studio can use them but certain limitations apply (Whedon won’t be able to discuss their parentage or mutant nature in Avengers 2; X-Men can’t mention the Avengers in their movie)
