Back in August 2015, Uncharted 4 Single-Player DLC was announced, but Naughty Dog didn’t reveal details on what it will be about, however that will change soon.
This will be the series’ first single-player downloadable content and the reason the developer decided to develop this for Uncharted 4 is because it worked well in their previous game, The Last of Us.
Development on Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End single-player DLC was supposedly started before the main game went gold, and we haven’t heard anything about it yet, but according to a new rumor we will finally get some details about the DLC at PlayStation Experience 2016.
According to a Sony insider, The DLC will focus on Samuel “Sam” Drake, older brother of Nathan Drake, protagonist of the Uncharted series and longtime partner of Nathan Drake, Victor “Sully” Sullivan.
The reveal will feature the first look at the gameplay, cutscene footage from the DLC and concluding with the name of the DLC.
The DLC is standalone and you won’t need the original game to play the DLC, it will narrate a “self-contained story, with Nathan Drake himself present to hand the reigns of adventuring over to his sibling.” Drake’s daughter, Cassie will not make an appearance in the DLC.
Nolan North and Troy Baker will reprise their roles for the standalone DLC, which is longer than The Last of Us: Left Behind DLC.
Uncharted 4 Single-Player DLC will reportedly release in the first quarter of 2017.
PlayStation Experience 2016 will be held at Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California on December 3rd (10:00 AM – 10:00 PM) and 4th (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
