Naughty Dog‘s Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception multiplayer goes free-to-play starting today.

Uncharted 3 free-to-play multiplayer is downloadable on PS Store now, it lets players advance up to level 15, playing in the same player pool as the base game. Once you hit level 15, you can continue to play with no time limit, but cease progress on your upgrades.

You can choose to raise your level cap to 25 or remove the cap using micro-transactions which will bring your level cap to 75 which also includes slew of cool in-game items and downloadable content.  Here’s a rundown of what you can unlock:

The tracks your XP progress, and if you ever choose to purchase the full game, you retroactively gain access to the levels you would have progressed through for your time played. In the free-to-play version, players experience all of the base maps from the original retail release of Uncharted 3, but won’t immediately have access to any of the DLC maps.

You can buy Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Game of the Year Edition from in-game store which includes all 12 DLC maps, all co-op multiplayer modes, and over 40 character skins. Buy the digital version  for $39.99.

To date, over 3.5 million people have played in over 37 million matches and over half a million players actively play Uncharted 3 each month.

To celebrate the FTP launch ND giving you the option to customize your character item and every character skin in multiplayer via colour options for free. Patch 1.17 was released recently, check out the change log here.
