Assassin’s Creed III will be the end of modern day assassin Desmond Miles and Ubisoft will also stop stalling and making people wait for answers.
Speaking with OXM, Assassin’s Creed III′s lead designer Steve Masters said, “What we’re trying to do is bring some finality to Desmond’s story. To actually wrap up what you’ve opened and experienced with him.”
“So we’re trying to make it a little bit more direct with the storyline, but at the same time there are still going to be plenty of little mysterious bits for you to dig into, especially in the side stuff.”
Ubisoft is aware that some fans found the hints and cliffhangers throughout Brotherhood and Revelations annoying. “We wanted there to be a big leap forward in the story,” Masters added.
“And we wanted you to feel a good sense of progress in what’s going on in the story. A lot of the misdirection and the way we’ve been meandering a little bit has been kind of frustrating as a player and for the audience, so we wanted to make sure there was going to be more substance to get your teeth into.”
Will you be glad to see Desmond’s story end?
Previously, Ubisoft released Assassin’s Creed III’s Desmond trailer, Benedict Arnold Trailer and Launch Trailer.

I wont be glad to see Desmond's story end! I've heard we will seee more of him than ever before in ACIII, but I feel like there is so much more that can be done with him. Especially considering how much he has learned and matured through the games.
I still Think They Must not End Desmond Story too Soon, Because He Is where it goes about. He Entering the Animus, His Story And Mission to save the world..! Not a other guy…
So what happened to the 16 previous subjects?
i dont know…desmond missions were pretty short and boring
SPOILER! desmond dies
problem?
I was kinda hoping Assassins Creed III did not end desmonds story as i was hoping for desmond to take the ropes for a full game in modern day society taking the fight directly to Abstergo and to personally slit warren vidics throat in the most grotesque manner possible. He has been asking for it since AC began after all and nothing would be more pleasurable than watching that bastard die slowly and painfully by your actions as desmond miles.
No bros, I will be sorry to see Desmond go, but I will allways remenber him when I hear or say " Assassin's Creed "
He really matured throuhgout the games and I liked the story even if it was a litlle bitconfusing, or maybe even kind of repetetive… but all good things come to an end, and so we and Desmond must part ways… It was a good run
