Bleecker Street & Entertainment One released a International for Trumbo, an upcoming American biographical drama film directed by Jay Roach and written by John McNamara.
The film follows the life of Hollywood screenwriter Dalton Trumbo and is based on the biography Dalton Trumbo by Bruce Alexander Cook.
It stars Bryan Cranston, Diane Lane, Elle Fanning, Louis C.K., Helen Mirren and John Goodman.
Synopsis:
“The successful career of the 1940s screenwriter, Dalton Trumbo comes to a crushing end when he and other Hollywood figures are blacklisted for their political beliefs.
It tells the story of Trumbo’s fight against the U.S. government and studio bosses in a war over words and freedom, which entangled everyone in Hollywood Hedda Hopper (Helen Mirren) and John Wayne to Kirk Douglas and Otto Preminger.”
Trumbo is scheduled to be released on November 6, 2015.
