Creative Assembly & Sega announced that a new race, Norsca will be added to their turn-based strategy and real-time tactics game, Total War: Warhammer.
The barbaric Norsca is inhabited by a race of savage and ferocious humans known as the Norscans; fur-clad warriors and berserkers of hairy brawn who sail the seas in fearsome longships in order to unleash their devastating fury upon the south.
Warlike and cruel, the Norse are fanatically devoted champions of the Dark Gods and the baneful scourge of their foes.
Norsca is a savage and brutal land, plagued by lethal winters for more than half the year, and worse, lashed perpetually by raging gales of Chaos energies howling down from the ancient ruins of the fallen Warp Gate resting at the very heart of the northern Chaos Wastes.

If you pre-order Total War: Warhammer II through Sega’s approved retailers or buy the game in the first week of the release, you’ll get access to Norsca Race Pack for the first game in series for free of charge.
The Norsca Race Pack will be playable in the first part of the trilogy from August 10, ahead of Total War: Warhammer II’s release.
In the frozen Norsca peninsula far to the north, barbaric tribes serve the dark gods through hunting and pillaging. Hardened by relentless blizzards and the monstrous beasts of this bitter wilderness, the Norscans exist only to lay waste.
This DLC introduces two new playable factions, led by unique Legendary Lords. Players can embark on monster hunt quests, command ferocious units including War Mammoths and Skin Wolves, and construct towering monoliths to court favour with the dark gods, more details here.
Shortly after the launch of Total War: Warhammer II, a gigantic update will be made available to owners of both games, for free. A new combined campaign map will enable players to conquer both the Old World and the New as any Race from both base games and any owned DLC Races. After its release, this will be further updated to include Norsca.
Total War: Warhammer II is scheduled to be released for PC on September 28, 2017.
