If you were speculating whether Chris Hemsworth will end his run as Thor in Marvel Cinematic Universe after Thor: Love and Thunder, well now we have the answer.
Following Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans MCU retirement in Avengers: Endgame, fans believed Australian actor, Chris Hemsworth might follow suit but he has confirmed in a recent interview with ELLE MAN that Thor is way too young to retire.
“Are you crazy?! I’m not going into any retirement period (laughs). Thor is way too young for that,” said Hemsworth.
“I’m only 1500 years old! It is definitely not a film that I say goodbye to this brand. At least I hope so”
Additionally, Chris Hemsworth talks about the most anticipated sequel, Thor: Love and Thunder: “After reading the script, I can say that I am very excited.
For sure there will be a lot of love and a lot of lightning in this production (laughs). I’m glad that after all that happened in Avengers: Endgame, I’m still part of the Marvel Universe and we can continue the story of Thor.
Of course, I can’t tell you anything about the plot, but to satisfy your curiosity, I’ll say that I had a lot more fun reading the script than on Thor Ragnarok, and that proves something, because this movie was brilliant,” Hemsworth concluded.
The film will be directed by Taika Waititi and co-wrote the script with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson.
Natalie Portman will make a return as Jane taking on the mantle of a female incarnation of Thor along with Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson as Thor and Valkyrie, respectively.
Additionally, Vin Diesel as Groot, Taika Waititi as Korg and Christian Bale will portray the main antagonist.
The film servers as the sequel to Thor (2011), Thor: The Dark World (2013) and Thor: Ragnarok (2017), and the 28th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)
Thor: Love and Thunder is scheduled for release on February 11, 2022.
