Joss Whedon has added another villain for Marvel’s upcoming American superhero film, Avengers: Age Of Ultron, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
German actor, Thomas Kretschmann has joined Avengers: Age Of Ultron to play Baron Wolfgang von Strucker, a former Nazi officer, one of the leaders of HYDRA and an enemy of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Avengers, in the comics.
THR notes that Kretchmann’s Strucker is an antagonist for both Captain America and Nick Fury. Kretchmann (as Strucker) will join James Spader (as Ultron) in Marvel’s highly-anticipated sequel.
Thomas Kretschmann is best known for playing Leutnant Hans von Witzland Stalingrad (1993), Hauptmann Wilm Hosenfeld in The Pianist (2002), Hermann Fegelein in Downfall (2004), and Captain Englehorn in the remake of King Kong (2005).

So far it features an ensemble cast that includes Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen and James Spader.
Avengers: Age Of Ultron is scheduled for release on May 1, 2015.
