Sony Pictures revealed a IMAX trailer for The Walk, an upcoming American biographical film directed by Robert Zemeckis, written by Christopher Browne and Zemeckis.

Based on the story of French high-wire artist Philippe Petit’s walk between the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center on August 7, 1974.

It stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ben Kingsley, James Badge Dale, Ben Schwartz, Steve Valentine, Charlotte Le Bon, Clément Sibony and César Domboy.

Synopsis:
“Twelve people have walked on the moon, but only one man has ever, or will ever, walk in the immense void between the World Trade Center towers.

Guided by his real-life mentor, Papa Rudy (Ben Kingsley), and aided by an unlikely band of international recruits, Petit and his gang overcome long odds, betrayals, dissension and countless close calls to conceive and execute their mad plan.”

The Walk is scheduled to be released on October 2, 2015 in IMAX 3D & 3D.
