NBCUniversal and Kadokawa revealed the full length trailer for their upcoming Japanese supernatural horror film, The Ring Vs. The Grudge (Sadako vs. Kayako).
Directed by Kōji Shiraishi. It is a crossover of the Ju-on (The Grudge) and the Ring series of horror films.
The film was first teased on April 1, 2015 as an April Fools’ joke, but was later confirmed on December 10, 2015 to be a real production.
In the film, “a girl, Yūri Kurahashi, after watching a cursed videotape with her friend, becomes trapped in a conflict between Sadako Yamamura (central character and antagonist of Koji Suzuki’s Ring Trilogy novels) and Kayako Saeki (character appearing in the Ju-on (The Grudge) horror franchise).”
The cast features Mizuki Yamamoto as Yūri Kurahashi, Tina Tamashiro as Suzuka Takagi, Masahiro Komoto as Shinichi Morishige, Aimi Satsukawa as Natsumi, Masanobu Ando as Keizō and Misato Tanaka as Fumiko Takagi.
The Ring Vs. The Grudge is scheduled to on June 18, 2016.
