Screen Gems released a new trailer for The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, an upcoming 2013 action adventure fantasy film directed by Harald Zwart.
It stars Lily Collins, Jaime Campbell Bower, Robert Sheehan, Jemima West, Kevin Segers, Kevin Durand, Robert Maillet, Lena Headey, Jared Harris, Godfrey Gao, Aidan Turner, CCH Pounder and Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
Produced by Don Carmody and Robert Kulzer, based on the 2007 first book of The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare.
Plot:
“Set in contemporary New York City, a seemingly ordinary teenager, Clary Fray (Lily Collins), discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of young half-angel warriors locked in an ancient battle to protect our world from demons.
After the disappearance of her mother (Lena Headey), Clary must join forces with a group of Shadowhunters, who introduce her to a dangerous alternate New York called Downworld, filled with demons, warlocks, vampires, werewolves and other deadly creatures. Based on the worldwide best-selling book series.”
The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones is set to be released in theaters on August 23, 2013.
