The Last of Us Campaign Will Not Have Co-op

Naughty Dog already confirmed multiplayer in The Last of Us, but didn’t share anything related to multiplayer section of the game.

The Last of Us looks like a perfect setting for a online co-op mode for both Joel and Ellie, but that’s not what Naughty Dog has in mind.

“We are supporting multiplayer with The Last of Us,” Neil told Gaming Examiner. “However, we can say that it is not co-op within the main campaign.” and added “[but we’re] not ready to talk about the details of how multiplayer will be implemented.”

Naughty Dog’s Uncharted franchise featured co-op in the online component, various multiplayer modes outside of the core game, so we might see both competitive and cooperative.

The Last of Us is due to hit shelves in 2013.

    Boring then… ppl want to play with others, playing alone is getting old

    That game looks like a CO-OP came … don't make a coop game a single player game cause you will lower peoples expectations and the game won't sell much
