Naughty Dog’s highly anticipated sequel for 2013’s action-adventure survival horror, The Last of Us is yet to be announced, but during a live stream the developers accidentally confirmed that The Last of Us 2 is in development.

During Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection gameplay reveal livestream, with community strategist Eric Monacello, writer Josh Scherr, and lead animator Eric Baldwin, the Uncharted conversation lead to Last of Us and Scherr goes on “All of the facial animation in the Uncharted series was led up by Eric [Monacelli] here.

And on the first The Last of Us… Uh, did I say the first The Last of Us?,” he gets completely baffled by the slip-up and adds ” the first Last of Us.

The Last of Us. The first Last of Us. The Last of Us was also keyframe animation.”

What do you think? We all know that part of the team is currently finishing up Uncharted 4 and part of them are working on The Last of Us 2.

When the UC4 hits the shelves in 2016, the entire team will move to The Last of Us 2 after some vacation and we will probably get a teaser in 2017.

Do want the story to continue in the sequel? Where would you like to see the story go?

Naughty Dog’s next title, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will release in March 18, 2016 exclusively on PlayStation 4.
