Sony Computer Entertainment and Naughty Dog‘s upcoming action-adventure survival horror game, The Last of Us Part II will be co-written by Halley Gross.
Creative director, writer, Neil Druckmann will work with Halley Gross on The Last of Us Part II story.
Halley Gross is credited with writing Scent of a Woman (2013) short; an episode (Snakes and Whatnot) of American action television series, Banshee (2015); and two episodes (Trompe L’Oeil & The Adversary) of American science fiction western thriller television series, Westworld (2016).
Gross took the twitter to reveal that she is part of the project, she tweeted: “Couldn’t be prouder to be a part of this!”
Druckmann followed up to her tweet: “Halley’s my kickass co-writer. Can’t wait to share more of the story with y’all. Spoiler alert: it’s intense”
Additionally, the director of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (2009), The Last of Us (2013), The Last of Us: Left Behind (2014) and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (2016) will not return to direct The Last of Us Part II, he is currently on a yearlong sabbatical, according to Kotaku.
“Bruce recently decided to take some much deserved time off after shipping two critically acclaimed games in the last few years.
He’s looking forward to returning to the studio soon and jumping back in on his next project,” said Sony in a statement.
The Last of Us Part II is currently in early development for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro.
