Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Productions unveiled their dystopian action horror film, The First Purge poster.

The First Purge serves as a prequel to 2013’s The Purge and is the fourth installment in The Purge franchise.

The third installment in The Purge franchise, Purge: Election Year‘s poster boasted the tagline “Keep America Great” which was not-so-subtle nod to Donald Trump and this time, The First Purge poster features Trump’s “Make America Great Again” hat but without his hysterical slogan, check it out yourself after the break & let us know what you think in the comments!!

The First Purge Poster

“Behind every tradition lies a revolution. Next Independence Day, witness the rise of our country’s 12 hours of annual lawlessness.

Welcome to the movement that began as a simple experiment: The First Purge. To push the crime rate below one percent for the rest of the year, the New Founding Fathers of America (NFFA) test a sociological theory that vents aggression for one night in one isolated community.

But when the violence of oppressors meets the rage of the marginalized, the contagion will explode from the trial-city borders and spread across the nation.”

It stars Y’Lan Noel, Lex Scott Davis, Joivan Wade, Luna Lauren Velez and Marisa Tomei

Directed by Gerard McMurray and written by James DeMonaco.

Produced by Jason Blum, Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, Andrew Form, Sebastien Lemercier and DeMonaco.

The First Purge is set to hit theaters on July 4, 2018.
