It’s finally here, long wait for the third and final installment of Chris Nolan’s Batman trilogy, but The Dark Knight Rises promises to bring the story to a close in spectacular fashion.
Last weekend, the teaser trailer for “The Dark Knight Rises” theatrical premiere was attached to “Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows: Part 2” and it has finally been released on the web.
Christian Bale is back as as the brooding Caped Crusader while Tom Hardy (who starred in Nolan’s “Inception”) is a supervillian named Bane, who is best known in the DC Comics universe for breaking Batman’s back in the “Knightfall” story arc.
Anne Hathaway (a former Millburn resident) stars as Selina Kyle (aka Catwoman) who is noticeably absent from the teaser. The film will also feature Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine.
The first film in the trilogy was “Batman Begins,” in 2005 followed by “The Dark Knight,” in 2008 which snagged late actor Heath Ledger an Oscar for best-supporting actor.
The movie comes out in June/July 2012. Check out the Trailer below
