Focus Features debuted the trailer for The Beguiled, an upcoming American drama film written and directed by Sofia Coppola.
Based upon the novel A Painted Devil by Thomas P. Cullinan and its 1971 film adaptation.

It stars Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman, Colin Farrell, Kirsten Dunst and Angourie Rice.
“The film unfolds in a girls’ school in the state of Virginia in 1864. As the Civil War rages, The Miss Martha Farnsworth Seminary for Young Ladies has been sheltered from the outside world— until the day a wounded Union soldier is discovered nearby and taken in.”
The cast also includes Oona Laurence, Emma Howard, and Addison Riecke.
Anne Ross serves as production designer, marking her own fifth collaboration with Coppola.
Stacey Battat as costume designer (her fourth collaboration).
Philippe Le Sourd serving as director of photography shot the the movie in 35mm film.
The Beguiled is set to hit limited theaters in the U.S on June 23, with an expansion on June 30, 2017 by Focus Features and Universal Pictures International (UPI) will distribute the film globally, beginning in the summer of 2017.
