Sony Pictures & Rovio debuted a international trailer for The Angry Birds Movie, an upcoming American-Finnish 3D computer-animated action comedy film.
The film features voice cameos of Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Bill Hader, Maya Rudolph, Peter Dinklage, Kate McKinnon, Tony Hale, Keegan-Michael Key, as well as YouTube sensation Smosh (Ian Andrew Hecox and Anthony Padilla).
Directed by Clay Kaytis and Fergal Reilly, produced by John Cohen and Catherine Winder.
Written by Jon Vitti, and is based on the video game series of the same name.
Synopsis:
“The movie takes us to an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds – or almost entirely.
In this paradise, Red (Jason Sudeikis), a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck (Josh Gad), and the volatile Bomb (Danny McBride) have always been outsiders.
But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it’s up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to.”
The Angry Birds Movie is scheduled to be released on May 20, 2016.
