Warner Bros. Pictures released a new trailer of The Dark Knight Rises, an upcoming superhero film directed by Christopher Nolan and written by Nolan and his brother Jonathan.
The third movie in Chistopher Nolan era, inspiration has been drawn from a number of places for its story. Knightfall which debuted the villian Bane; The Dark Knight Returns in which Batman returns to Gotham City after a ten-year absence; and No Man’s Land, which depicts Gotham being overrun by gangs. Each are considered some of the best in the long running series of Batman comics.

It stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, and Morgan Freeman as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Alfred Pennyworth, James Gordon, and Lucius Fox, respectively. The film will take place eight years after the events of The Dark Knight and will introduce the characters of Selina Kyle and Bane—portrayed by Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy—two villains from the Batman mythology.
Plot:
“Eight years after Batman took the fall for Two Face’s crimes, a new terrorist leader, Bane overwhelms Gotham’s finest, and the Dark Knight resurfaces to protect a city that brands him an enemy.”
