Ubisoft released a new Splinter Cell: Blacklist trailer titled ‘Fifth Freedom’.

The trailer shows us the various ways Sam Fisher deals with both the responsibility and burden of bearing the Fifth Freedom.

“The Fifth Freedom is the liberty to do whatever it takes to protect the first four. Sam Fisher is one of the very few to have been granted the Fifth Freedom. From now on, he will have to make his own choices reporting to the President only. But the line between right or wrong is often a fine one…”

As former U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt stated it in his “Four Freedoms” speech, there are four fundamental freedoms that everyone should have as a birthright:

  • Freedom of speech and expression
  • Freedom of worship
  • Freedom from want
  • Freedom from fear
