American actor, James Spader talks about playing Ultron in Marvel Studios’ upcoming American superhero film, Avengers: Age of Ultron in a interview.
In an interview with Total Film’s latest issue, James Spader says, “There’s a humorous aspect to him, which is something that drew me in from the very first conversation I had with Joss [Whedon].
In many ways he’s a child, this character, because he’s a brand new being who’s just come to be. And yet, through artificial intelligence, he has an incredible capacity for knowledge. So he’s a very powerful, smart child.”
James Spader currently stars as Raymond “Red” Reddington on NBC’s American crime drama television series, The Blacklist. He quickly drew difference between Reddington & Ultron, “Ultron takes abrupt turns in scenes, Spader explained.
Red isn’t psychopathic but Ultron is. Yes, he is psychopathic. He’s really batshit crazy!”
The film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, James Spader, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Paul Bettany.
Avengers: Age Of Ultron is scheduled for release on April 24 in the UK & Ireland, May 1, 2015 in US.
