Sony’s E3 2013 press conference was best so far, even though they had less new PS4 games compared to Microsoft’s XBox One. but says it was only ‘one good day.’
Speaking with MCV, Sony Computer Entertainment UK chief Fergal Gara said, “Winning is determined by a much longer timescale, we were very pleased with how our messages went down at E3.
We aim to be the best for gamers, and this was a key step in that direction. E3 is important for early momentum and generating pre-orders. But it is only one step along. We feel we had a good day but there is loads more hard work to do, and we are focused on that.”
Sony stormed pre-E3 press conference for its decision to not force online checks every 24 hours, or block trade-ins, unlike Xbox One. And adding up to that was PlayStation 4’s $399/€399/£349 price tag is much less better compared to Xbox One’s $499/€499/£429 (including Kinect).
Gara adds, “We won’t hold back in the future. My UK and Ireland team is under the most competitive pressure in Europe. “So if we want to be more successful, we have to earn it. We are have to be more driven and focused,” he concluded.
PS4 is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2013.

Just being modest, everyone will chose the PS4 over the One. But we will be 100% sure when they are released.
Sony just doesn’t want to make Microsoft feel bad, even they already forced Microsoft to remove all of the unique Xbox One features. Also, PlayStation exclusive games are ALWAYS better than Xbox exclusive games.
Even though Playstation lost 3 of the biggest Exclusives in the industry..
I just hope Persona 5 is exclusive… Make it happen sony!
Which 3?
MGS
FF
KH
“People will say ohh none of them were exclusive… ect ect” The main entrys to the games were exclusive
No they weren’t. MGS, Final Fantasy, and Kingdom Hearts (beyond the first two) have all been on Nintendo’s consoles: MGS and Final Fantasy started with Nintendo. And MGS 2 went to Xbox (idk about 3), Final Fantasy was on Nintendo until VI. VII-XII were on PS2 (and some on PC). then XIII was on PS3 and 360. So to say these titles were Sony exclusive is just not true.
– MGS was originally a Nintendo only game, unless you’re one of the ‘superfans’ who didn’t know there were games before MGS 1. MGS 1 also got remade exclusively for the Gamecube, MGS 2 got onto xbox and PC with MGS 3 eventually coming to 360. Definitely not exclusive.
– Final Fantasy was never tied to one console either, unless you think it started at 7 in which case, you should just GTFO.
– Kingdom Hearts had sequels on Nintendo consoles which tied up many loose ends from KH 1 and 2 which, I think that qualifies them enough as a ‘main entry’.
So, which one of those 3 franchises was ever 100% exclusive to Sony then? None? Sounds about right.
I agree, i think sony if they keep up a strong momentum and really go for it they will “win”. but you can’t say anything yet.
well this depends on who gives a shit about we gamers and currentl its SONY PS4
Playstation already all my life, won’t change, ever! PS4 pre-order for sure! :-) i just simply love it… The exclusives on a PS 4 are so unique for me i just love it :-)
The only reason i used an xbox360 coz of the splinter cell series which is in plan to arrive in next gen console i.e PS4. & X1 . So xbot goin straight in the dump PS3 & PS4 side by side brother in arms
