According to a anonymous source the next generation Xbox (Xbox 720) codename Durango will launch in time for the 2013 holiday season.
Bloomberg cites “people familiar with the company’s plans”, who said Microsoft is planning for a lucrative Thanksgiving and Christmas launch.
Another source claimed that Microsoft has yet to decided whether to debut the next generation Xbox at E3 2013 or at a dedicated event.
The next gen Xbox might feature Kinect 2.0, Blu-ray discs, 8GB of RAM, TV output/input, an ‘innovative controller’ and directional audio.
Microsoft manged to sell 750,000 Xbox 360’s over the week around Thanksgiving, surpassing the expectations.
Sony is also expected to launch its next gen PlayStation in 2013.
