Looking like Rockstar Games is gearing up to unveil Red Dead Redemption sequel, the next game in their western action-adventure, Red Dead series.
Rockstar Games updated their official website and social accounts with the images below!
The Rockstar Games logo on a red background is such a tease, the same material was used to promote Rockstar San Diego’s Red Dead Redemption.
Take-Two Interactive’s CEO Strauss Zelnic has confirmed twice in 2013 and 2014 that Red Dead is a permanent franchise.
In 2013, “It’s been our goal not just to preserve and grow the Grand Theft Auto franchise, but also to build other franchises that we think can be permanent, whether that’s the Red Dead franchise or the Borderlands franchise or the BioShock franchise or others, Civilization, for example.”
In 2014, “I pretty much know the ones that I can assure you are permanent.
It’s obvious that GTA is a permanent franchise as long as we keep delivering this incredible quality; it seems quite obvious that Red Dead is a permanent franchise, again with the same caveat, or Borderlands, for example, and NBA and others.”
Rumors about a follow up to Red Dead Redemption has been around the Internet since a long time, but back in April rumors surfaced that the next Red Dead game was in development and a map of the game world accompanied the report.
There hasn’t been any official announcement from Rockstar on the sequel yet, but earlier this year Red Dead Redemption was added as Xbox One as backward compatibility title and Red Dead Revolver PS2 version was released on October 11 for the PlayStation 4.
