Following LA Noire‘s success last year, Rockstar says there could be the possibility of  seeing a new game in the franchise.

This news comes by a Q&A session between Rockstar and Max Payne fans where the developer responded to questions about all of their popular franchises and when questioned about future of LA Noire, It responded by first confirming it would no longer support the original but said there could be a sequel is a possibility. We simply have not decided anything.

“While there won’t be any more DLC or additional content for the current release of L.A. Noire (we’re all too busy working on Max Payne 3, GTAV and other games to come), don’t count out the possibility of a new game in the L.A. Noire franchise in the future.”

Rockstar Considering ‘LA Noire’ Sequel 1

“We’re all very pleased with how that game turned out and are considering what the future may hold for LA Noire as a series.”

Rockstar pointed out that while it may taken them some time to produce sequels, that doesn’t mean they don’t get round to them eventually.

“We don’t always rush to make sequels, but that does not mean we won’t get to them eventually – see Max and Red Dead for evidence of that – we have so many games we want to make and the issue is always one of bandwidth and timing.”

A sequel to LA Noire would seem to make sense, given that the original game has sold almost five million copies.
