Iron Man/Anthony ‘Tony’ Stark will reprise the role of the “billionaire, genius, playboy, philanthropist,” in at least two more films.
Robert Downey Jr. signed a two-picture agreement that confirms that he’ll star as Iron Man/Anthony ‘Tony’ Stark in The Avengers 2 and The Avengers 3, according to Marvel.
RDJ’s last two Marvel films, The Avengers and Iron Man 3, rank as two of the top five grossing films of all time, collectively earning over $2.7 billion worldwide to date.
This deal doesn’t include Iron Man 4, RDJ might or might not return for more “Iron Man” movies; while his appearance in The Avengers most certainly will please fans.
Previously, Loki won’t be in The Avengers 2.
So there you have it, RDJ will remain Iron for two more films, what do you think?
Phase Two started off with Iron Man 3 on May 3, 2013, Thor: The Dark World will release on November 8, 2013, Captain America: The Winter Soldier on April 4, 2014, Guardians of the Galaxy on August 1, 2014 and The Avengers 2 on May 1, 2015.
