Capcom revealed the first trailer for the latest remake of their 1996 horror fiction video game, Resident Evil.

“The game that defined the survival-horror genre is back! Thrill to all the original chills and spills in this remastered update of the classic Resident Evil game.”

The game was originally release for Sony PlayStation in 1996 and later ported for the Sega Saturn, PC, re-released for the Nintendo DS and PlayStation network.

The Remastered version features 1080p visuals and support for 5.1 surround sound audio.

Plot:
“A series of bizarre murders have occurred on the outskirts of Raccoon City, with signs of cannibalism on the victims’ remains.

The Raccoon Police Department’s Special Tactics And Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S.) are assigned to investigate the murders. S.T.A.R.S. is divided into two teams: Alpha and Bravo.

Bravo Team is sent first, but after contact with them is lost, Alpha Team is sent to investigate their disappearance.”

Resident Evil Remaster is due for early 2015 on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
