Rockstar Games has announced that they have pushed back the release date for their upcoming open world western action-adventure, Red Dead Redemption 2.
Previously, Red Dead Redemption 2 was set to arrive during Fall 2017 and now it has been delayed to spring of 2018, here’s the statement from the studio:
“This outlaw epic set across the vast and unforgiving American heartland will be the first Rockstar game created from the ground up for the latest generation of console hardware, and some extra time is necessary to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible for our fans.
We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready.
We are really excited to bring you more details about the game this summer.”
Rockstar also shared new set of screenshots from the game, you can check them out at the end of the post.
The game is the sequel to 2010’s Red Dead Redemption, it will be the third entry in the Red Dead series.
Pre-orders for the game is available, you can reserve your copy here (UK here).
Red Dead Redemption 2 will release worldwide in Spring 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
