Quicksilver, the fictional character created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby that first appeared in X-Men #4 (March 1964) comic book – is set to appear in X-Men: Days Of Future Past and Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

Marvel Studios president of production, Kevin Feige talks about the crossover between Fox’s Days Of Future Past and Marvel’s Age Of Ultron.

“There are only a handful of characters that occupy that middle ground. Iron Man is not going to show up over there and Magneto is not going to show up over here.

But there are a few gray points even after many years of negotiations … and that only happens with a character like Quicksilver, who has been a part of the X-Men, the son of Magneto in those comics, but also a primary Avenger.”

He adds, “The characters (on the screen) are going to be very different. Other than their powers, general audiences might not even know… that the two are related.”

Evan Peters will portray the character in X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014), while another adaptation of Quicksilver will be played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015).

X-Men: Days of Future Past is scheduled to be released on May 23, 2014, followed by Avengers: Age Of Ultron on May 1, 2015.
