Microsoft and Remedy Entertainment’s upcoming action-adventure third-person shooter, Quantum Break‘s development is almost done, it’s highly unlikely the game will be delayed now.

Remedy’s PR head, Thomas Puha took to twitter to give an update on the development of the shooter: “Not too much time left.

#quantumbreak is So close to being done. Team is getting pretty tired, but inspiring to see the camradrie.”

That’s great news, since the game has been delayed twice. Quantum Break was first announced during Xbox One reveal event on 21 May 2013, initially scheduled for release in 2014, but it was subsequently delayed until 2015.

Then it was further delayed to 2016 to avoid clashes with many Xbox One games releasing in 2015.

Summary:
“The game follows Quantum Break‘s hero, Jack Joyce, as he desperately struggles to prevent the end of time, while the show revolves around the conspiracies and intrigue within the villainous corporation called Monarch Solutions, Jack’s main enemy.

Together, they form an intertwining narrative where the actions you take directly impact how the story across both the game and the show unfolds.”

Quantum Break will launch on April 5, 2016 for Xbox One.
