Sony’s PlayStation 4 has sold around 1.25 million units in US, outselling Microsoft’s Xbox One, according to Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter’s predictions.
“We expect hardware sales of 1.25 million PS4 units and 750,000 Xbox One units in their debut month,” notes Wedbush’s November 2013 NPD Preview report.
Well, PS4 did get a head start by launching on November 15 in US – achieving 2.1 million global sales, while Xbox One launched on November 22, leaving it just 8 days – it achieved over 1 million sales in 13 launch territories.
Pachter also adds that Wii U has suffered due to Xbox One and PS4 launch, with sales falling to 65% (150,000 units) year-on-year. PS3 and Xbox 360’s sales have also fallen to 28% (550,000 units) and 44% (700,000 units) respectively.
