Sony’s next-gen console, PlayStation 4 launched in another 16 countries today, it is available now in 48 countries around the world, Sony announced.

These countries get their hands on PS4 today: Czech Republic, Greece, Slovakia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, South Africa, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela.

Additional launches will follow later this year and early 2014. “If you’re still waiting, thank you so much for your patience, we are doing our upmost to ensure availability in your region as soon as possible.”

The console so far has surpassed 2.1 million unit milestone as of December 3, 2013. It became the fastest-selling console in UK, selling Over 250,000 units generating about £90 million in revenue within 48 hours.

PlayStation 4 launched in North America on November 15 and November 29 in UK and Europe.
