DICE revealed that PS3 owners will get “all of the full-blown expansion packs” for Battlefield 3 a week early. That means that every piece of Battlefield 3 DLC will arrive on PS3 a week before it becomes available on PC and Xbox 360.

Over at the Official PlayStation Blog, DICE junior product manager Tommy Rydling, says that starting with the first post-release DLC pack called Back to Karkand (out sometime this year) all “full-blown” expansion packs to the game will have a week of exclusivity on PlayStation 3!

Interestingly, this move is the mirror opposite of what the Call of Duty series has done recently with the Black Ops DLC, where it has been available first on XBLA and then PSN (albeit for a full month before).

Battlefield 3 will be out on October 28 for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC and Beta next week

Gamers who pre-order the digital PC version of BF3 from Origin and all customers that pre-ordered the limited edition of Medal of Honor will be granted early access to the beta beginning on September 27.
