Sixense Studios released the launch trailer for Portal 2 ‘In Motion’, showing off the new gameplay mechanics.

Sixense designed three new motion mechanics for Portal 2 In Motion, coming to PSN today for PlayStation Move motion controller users.

The “One-to-One” mechanic allows the player to manipulate objects as if they were held in his or her own hand, giving the ability to change the object’s position and orientation by moving and rotating the Move motion controller.

There’s also the “Portal Surfing” mechanic is the ability to move and rotate a portal along a “portalable” surface. Portal Surfing allows you to change an object’s trajectory as it passes through a portal by rotating the portal.

And Freeaim mechanic which uses the Move controller’s orientation to “determine cursor position,” allowing the players to adjust the camera view using only small wrist movements allowing for a more fluid camera system.

The ‘In Motion’ update packs 20 new levels specifically designed for play with the PlayStation Move motion controller. The 20 new chambers were originally developed for PC for use with the Razer Hydra controller – a $100 Move-like wand for PC.

Portal 2 ‘In Motion’ is out today in the US for PSN, and if you are a PS Plus customer, you will get 30% off the $9.99 price tag.
