20th Century Fox & Marvel Entertainment’s upcoming X-Men film, X-Men: Apocalypse has found its villain, according to Variety.
American actor and singer, Oscar Isaac has signed the deal to play the titular supervillain, Apocalypse (En Sabah Nur).
Apocalypse is a supervillain born with mutant powers, appearing in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He was later also given the name En Sabah Nur (“the first one”) was created by writer Louise Simonson and artist Jackson Guice. He first appeared in X-Factor #5 (May 1986).
The film acts as a sequel to X-Men: Days of Future Past, it will be directed by Bryan Singer with Simon Kinberg, Dan Harris, and Michael Dougherty writing the script.
James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Hugh Jackman, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, and Evan Peters will reprise their roles, with some of the original cast members of the series will return.
X-Men: Apocalypse principal photography will begin in April 2015 in Montreal, Canada, it is scheduled for a May 27, 2016 release.
