Ready at Dawn’s forthcoming third-person action adventure shooter, The Order: 1886 won’t feature multiplayer element it will just be a single player game, according to co-founder Ru Weerasuriya.
Speaking with German website play3.de, Weerasuriya revealed that The Order: 1886 will run at 30 FPS 1080p resolution.
Currently we do not aim [for] 60 frames per second. In a first person shooter that [surely] makes sense. Also fighting games are undoubtedly predestined for 60 frames.
But for us, the cinematic experience is in the foreground [basically focus] – presented in full HD 1080p. In favor of spectacular effects and the highest resolution we restrict ourselves to a fluid 30 frames per second.”
Over at Twitter A fan complained that he’ll have to pay $60 for [likely] 6-10 hours of content, to that Ready at Dawn Founder Andrea Pessino replied: “Better to do one thing well than a whole bunch half-assed.
We are trying to make a single-player experience you will enjoy. If we are going to succeed or not will be up to you to decide.”
Since the game is PlayStation 4 exclusive, he was asked if the game will arrive on Playstation 3 in future, he replied: “We currently work exclusively on the PS4 version, Games are always designed for cross-platforms.
But clearly, if there is a possibility to take over the physics system to other platforms, we would use this.”
The Order: 1886 is scheduled to be released in 2014 for PlayStation 4.
