FilmDistrict debuted the trailer for Oldboy, an upcoming 2013 American thriller film directed by Spike Lee and written by Mark Protosevich.

It is a remake of the 2003 South Korean film Oldboy, based on the Japanese manga with the same name.

Starring Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Olsen, Sharlto Copley, Samuel L. Jackson, Lance Reddick, and James Ransone.

“An advertising executive is abruptly kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement.

When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment.”

Oldboy is scheduled to be released on October 25, 2013.
