Nocturnal Animals was selected to compete for the Golden Lion at the 73rd Venice International Film Festival, where it won the Grand Jury Prize.
It had its North American premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 11.
The film’s cast also includes Armie Hammer, Laura Linney, Karl Glusman, Andrea Riseborough and Michael Sheen.
The upcoming drama thriller was Written and directed by Tom Ford, based on the 1993 novel Tony and Susan by Austin Wright.

Nocturnal Animals is scheduled to open in limited theaters on November 18, it then further expands on November 23 and finally opens nationwide on December 9, 2016.
