BioWare’s next Mass Effect is in development at Montreal studio, and apparently the game is already in a playable state, according to Aaryn Flynn.

Aaryn Flynn, general manager for BioWare’s Edmonton and Montreal studios took to twitter to announce the news:

Flynn shared nothing more than the above off-screen shot of the BioWare logo.

We already know that the next Mass Effect‘s story isn’t related to any of the Shepard events and the game will be powered by Frostbite 2/3 engine, enhanced by systems built for Dragon Age: Inquisition.

The game will take “new directions, both on the gameplay and story fronts, while maintaining the original trilogy’s principle.

We will probably hear more about the game after BioWare and EA’s Dragon Age: Inquisition hits the stores in fall 2014.
