The new Christmas 2011 issue of PlayStation Magazine has posted a new rumor for Call of Duty fans to ponder, In the issue’s “Rumour Machine” column, a blurb appears reading “Treyarch’s next COD game will be a direct sequel to Black Ops.”
Following the every other year cycle, this would put Treyarch at the helm of the next Call of Duty title, and given the huge success of Black Ops, it certainly does seem like a possibility.
Call of Duty: Black Ops released in November 2010, was the best selling game title of all time Before the release of Modern Warfare 3’s earlier this month.
The next Call of Duty game is expected to release in the same November time frame next year, we’ll likely know one way or the other in the coming months.
