Jade Raymond: Next Assassin's Creed Won't Take Place In Japan 1

The fifth installment will feature Jade Raymond’s favorite historical era, she didn’t give out much detail, but she dismissed rumors that it is set at the end of samurai age in Japan.

In an interview with Adweek, Jade Raymond said, “When we’re building a franchise, we’re thinking of a whole universe and how we’re developing a meta-story that could live on for many years in games and TV.

If the story has nowhere to go, then you end up with the video game equivalent of The Matrix 2 or something where it’s never going to be quite as genius.”

As of March, 2013 Assassin’s Creed series has sold over 55 million copies worldwide.
