After finishing up with iPhone 5 reveal, Apple started off by talking about new designs for its iPod touch and iPod nano.

The new 7th-generation iPod nano gets biggest changes, it is incredibly portable and light. Almost 50% thinner than the previous small and square nano.

It can not only play music and video (in widescreen) but it also has an FM tuner built in with live pause, Fitness/pedometer built-in, integrated with Nike+, Bluetooth wireless (Stream music to Jambox, wireless headphones) with new Lightning connector, 2.5-inches display, multi-touch, music playback up to 30 hours and 7 new colors.

Finally, an update! 5th-generation, “The best iPod touch we’ve ever made,” Apple says.

The new iPod touch is 6.1mm thin, “Almost as thin as the nano!” weighing at 88 grams, making it the thinnest iPod touch yet. It is built on A5 processor with up to 7x the performance of previous iPod touch, it can now access 175,000 iOS apps, 5 megapixel iSight camera with 1080p video, Bluetooth 4.0, 40 hours music, 8 hours video and 5 new colors.

The new iPod touch 32 GB for $299 and 64 GB for $399. iPod nano 16 GB for $149. The older version of the iPod touch will still be sold, 16 GB for $199 and 32 GB for $249.
