“The more you use it, the better you’ll get at it.” Well that’s the idea at least, as explained in Activision’s newest trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
Activision released a video for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which focuses on the game’s weapon proficiencies. The progression allows the player to customize the gameplay experience with weapon leveling unlocks, and using proficiencies which provide weapons with new attributes.
The idea is simple – the more you use a gun, the better you will be with it. You’ll earn experience with that weapon which can then be used to unlock attachments and other upgrades. But more importantly will be the ability to “apply” proficiencies to that weaponry, such as decreased sway while aiming, faster melee attacks and even some that are weapon class specific. It’s a leveling idea that not only complements the new strike packages quite nicely, but it also just makes sense; the more you use a gun, the better you should be with it.
