Walt Disney Pictures debuted a new trailer for Monsters University, an upcoming 2013 3D computer-animated comedy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios, a prequel to the 2001 film Monsters, Inc.

Directed by Dan Scanlon and producer by Kori Rae, it features the voices of Billy Crystal, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, Dave Foley, Julia Sweeney, Joel Murray and Peter Sohn.

Check out the new trailer after the break:

“Set about ten years before the events of Monsters, Inc., 18-year-old James P. “Sulley” Sullivan (voiced by John Goodman), and 17-year-old Michael “Mike” Wazowski (voiced by Billy Crystal) meet in college and are in the same fraternity, while planning to become scarers at Monsters, Inc. The film also explains that Sulley and Mike were once rivals but soon became best friends.”

Monsters University will hit 3D and 2D theaters on June 21, 2013.
