Slave To The Rhythm is a song by American recording artist Michael Jackson, released as a promotional single from Jackson’s second posthumous album, Xscape.

It was written by L.A. Reid, Babyface, Daryl Simmons, & Kevin Roberson, produced by Timbaland, Harmon, Reid & Babyface.

The song was recorded during sessions for Bad, and then revived for “Dangerous” sessions, and completed in 1998. The reworked version was included in the posthumous album Xscape.

Xscape is the second posthumous compilation album of previously unreleased tracks by Michael Jackson. It was released on May 13, 2014 by Epic Records and MJJ Music.

It is the second album of new material that the Jackson estate has released in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment since Jackson’s death in June 2009.
