In the latest developer series of videos for Max Payne 3, Rockstar details regarding the visual effects and cinematics of the third entry in the series.

The video explains, Max Payne 3‘s unique cinematic action game and the tech Rockstar has implemented to preserve the series’ graphic novel visual style, which drops static panels of artwork in favour of scenes rendered in real-time and dynamically incorporated into each panel.

Max Payne 3 features unique presentation innovations that move the game seamlessly between gameplay and cutscene, resulting in an immersive experience that keeps the player locked in Max’s dark and twisted story.

The original deadline for pre-orders on the package was January 15, Rockstar has extended the deadline for pre-ordering the Max Payne 3 Special Edition, due to the change in the game’s release date (full content list through here).

Max Payne 3 was recently delayed, and will now release on May 15 in North America and May 18 internationally; and for the PC on May 29 in North America and June 1 internationally.
