Marvel Studios has recruited Andrew Barrer & Gabriel Ferrari for their upcoming American superhero film, Ant-Man and the Wasp, according to Deadline.
Andrew Barrer & Gabriel Ferrari who took over Edgar Wright’s original script will team up with Paul Rudd & Adam McKey to pen the script for the sequel.
The writers join director, Peyon Reed, Who also took over after Wright departed the project.
The film will see the return of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang alongside Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne with Michael Douglas.
Reed is working on making the movie as awesome as possible, He previously said, “That was one of the things that was important to me in the first movie when I came on was emphasizing the Wasp more, both Hope Van Dyne and Janet Van Dyne.
It’s a crucial part because in the comic books, with the exception of the first handful of Ant-Man stories, Wasp came on pretty early on in the comics in the ’60s and you really thought of them as a partnership, a romantic partnership as well as a hero team.
It’s going to be fun to play around with all the aspects of that in this movie.”
As of December 2015, Ant-Man has grossed over $180.1 million in North America and $338.4 million in other territories for a worldwide total of $518.5 million.
Ant-Man and The Wasp is set for July 6, 2018 release.
